What are propellants?
In traditional deodorant sprays and so-called 'eco-deos', propellants are used to push the product out of the spray can. When spraying with an aerosol can, propellants create aerosols: a kind of mist that contains all the chemical substances from the spray can. Propellants can cause skin irritation. Not only are propellants not good for your body, but they are also harmful to the ozone layer due to high CO2 emissions. The depletion of the ozone layer allows more ultraviolet radiation to reach the Earth, and to put it mildly, our planet is not happy about that.
